Owner & Director of Design

Cathi Lloyd is Franchise Owner and Director of Design of the Lloyd Design Team at Decorating Den Interiors. She has a passion for interior design and she believes that turning a house into a home is a true labor of love. She never loses sight of bringing her clients vision to life. She has assisted clients in Northwest Indiana, Illinois and Ohio for years, helping them make their lives more beautiful. Since starting her business in St John, Indiana over 30 years ago, this internationally-recognized decorator has gained a reputation for excellence.

The Lloyd Design Team offers everything you need to decorate the interior of your home, from upholstered furniture and case goods, lighting and accessories, custom draperies and top treatments, to blinds, shades, shutters, wall coverings and area rugs… and the ‘art of pulling it all together for each individual client.’

Cathi’s clients like her personalized service, customized designs, and the products that she brings together especially for them. They appreciate that their home will look special and not have a design that everyone has purchased from the same store in the area. She likes to learn about how her clients live in their homes, so she can help make it a space that is comfortable!

Additionally, her own home has been featured in Shore Magazine, and she has been featured in the NWI Times. Cathi has participated in the Lake County Builders Association Parade of Homes as well as the Lake County Home and Garden Shows.

Cathi has been recognized for numerous design and business achievements including a Lifetime Membership in Decorating Den Interiors Corporate Century Society, the Directors Club for top sales in the company, and the Positive Thinkers Award. She has also been a consistent winner in Decorating Den Interiors National Dream Room Competition, which features top design work from all over the country. This competition is judged by numerous national magazine editors.

Cathi is also a regular motivational speaker and instructor for various classes including business and design principles for Decorating Den Interiors national conferences. She has also served as an elected member of the company’s Leadership Council Franchise Owners Board.

Interior Designer

The Lloyd Design Team is pleased to introduce Nicole Lloyd Beat. Our newest designer has been involved in the wonderful world of design from her early childhood. She has been involved in all aspects of The Lloyd Design Team, from marketing to customer service. She has a passion for helping her clients create a cohesive well designed room that meets the functionality and lifestyle for their family. Joyce Buikema
Interior Designer

Joyce is a Region native who, as a former math and science teacher, not only knows her way around a tape measure but also understands your busy schedule. Besides teaching, she has been designing and creating custom work for years. She has had her own custom home décor business, JB Flourish, since 2013. While she used to design and create everything herself, being part of The Lloyd Design Team and Decorating Den Interiors gives her all the resources to provide you with everything you need to beautify your home. From helping you pick out paint colors to decorating your entire space, she loves working with clients to make their dollars stretch and their rooms not only beautiful, but functional. Joyce takes the time to listen to your needs and provides you with many ideas and samples that can fit your investment range. If she can’t find the perfect piece to order for you, don’t be surprised if she doesn’t just make it for you. Not many decorators can offer you that!
